The world is constantly changing; there are new technological developments every day. A Professional Development Trip to Europe enabled the teaching staff to see how things are done in other countries and bring these ideas and experiences back with them.
This trip provided 9 days of professional development in London, England, Paris France and Rome Italy. We also went to Fairford UK- which we are named after- to meet with representatives and Chief and Council and Teachers presented them with a plaque. Flags were also exchanged.
It gave each teacher a new view of the world which will greatly benefit the education process with our students.

The trip also gave each teacher a connection to different cultures and languages which will help in developing communication skills with our First Nation students. It will help in developing critical thinking skills by analyzing themes in new methods of learning which in turn would develop new teaching techniques.
The cost of the trip was covered by each teacher as well as Professional Development funds for conferences such as Lighting the Fire which is held in May and travel funds for PD out of the country.
School was closed for 2 days of Travel and Teachers on the PD Trip went to Europe instead of Winnipeg for the 4 Day Lighting the Fire Conference. The trip was over 2 weekends.
Permission to go was received from MFNSS and MFNERC Board of Governors.
